In the process of my home makeover I rediscovered and decided to finally hang these prints I purchased in Thailand back in 2006. They've been framed for some time but there never seemed to be the right spot for them... well this is it. I love how they provide the perfect segue from so much colour in the family room to the strict black and white of the living and dining room. The fig seems happy too. Touch wood.
Also I'd never found the right spot for my two Bucklin paintings either. I LOVE them here. I can see them from the sofa in the family room and they cheer up a wall that has been bare since move in.
I'll share more on the foyer this week. In the meantime hope Monday isn't too mean. xo
We have matching figs! Love the art Erica! :) Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe pics look amazing and I love the story behind them! I must get myself a fig tree this week ...... it's been on my list of things to do, although the new pup might get her teeth into one of the leaves .... grrrrrr. One day I would love to sit out in your outdoor house and sip some wine, perhaps sooner than later, I hope. Mmmm, summer time in Calgary!!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I love the contrast of the soft b&w art next to the linear colored art.
ReplyDeleteNote to self: Get an outdoor room like Erica's.
