So, here's the home decor part...Wool. Homesense. Awesome.
I saw this 9x12 goodness and couldn't stop thinking about it and having constant visitation with the image on my iPhone. I realized late last night, Holy Crap! What if someone else loves it too?! I better run out and buy it, if it's still there, or I'll regret not getting it forever. Ever have that happen? When you don't buy something you love, and you get a case of 'non-buyers-remorse'? Hate that.
Well, I raced out and got it. Lucky me, apparently it's been on hold several times and was too big for the other poor suckers who wanted it, and there it was, still waiting for me. I will be enlisting some boys to help me bring it in from the truck later today. And I'm thinking it will be at home in our living room. Don't you think?
I also have the most fabulous black ornate mirror to be hung on the marble wall. I'm too afraid to drill the holes myself though.... waiting on someone to come and hang it for me. In the meantime, I'm loving how this room keeps coming together in subtle and not so subtle layers.
Wishing everyone a fabulous Friday. What are your plans? Mine are to gaze lovingly at my awesome new dots... not really, well maybe. Happy Friday loves!
PS- a warm welcome and thanks to those who joined Moth this week! xoxo

ReplyDeleteThanks Simmy! The horse bit one I got from little boutique at the World Equestrian Games when they were held in Kentucky. The other one was a gift from a friend. Sorry I'm not much help, but that's where they're from. Happy Friday all the same. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are officially what my sister and I call "sick" meaning out of this world.

FABULOUS! Love the rug and I'm happy you got it - I STILL have items I remember I didn't buy years ago and cringe with non-buyers remorse :(
ReplyDeleteI also adore the idea of an ornate mirror on your marble mantle. Yummy! Happy weekend doll,
Nancy xo

ReplyDeleteSilk jumpsuit hey? N-I-C-E. Love that first pic of your beautiful watch and scarf looking all the way down to your pretty boots.
ReplyDeleteSo glad some of your other commenters called dotty item 'the rug' because I was having a very blonde moment going 'what the hell IS IT?' Love love love!

OMG... I too had a navy/white polka dot jumpsuit in the 90's!!! Mine was strapless, was yours? I'm sure I have a photo of myself wearing it somewhere in my photo archives :)
ReplyDeleteAll my wool rugs are from HomeSense. Why not!? You really can't beat a 9x12' rug for $400!! And they're pretty too! Yours is gorgeous!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Fantastic. That room just sings each time I take a look at it. It is graceful and so well layered. You are so talented my friend.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a great watch/bracelet combo, by the way! Congrats on your great find!

ReplyDeleteAll so pretty! :)))
ReplyDeleteso beautiful! every last detail.
ReplyDeleteLove it all <3
ReplyDeleteErica, do you mind me asking if you have powerpoints behind the sofa, for the lamps?
B
Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd to B (comment above) Yes, I'm lucky to have two floor junction boxes. No matter how I lay out the furniture I can have lamps floating around minus the cords. Love it! :)
That is very lucky indeed. Or should I say smart since you thought about it when planning/building your house :)

Where are the pillows from? LOVE!
ReplyDeleteHi Artista, I've had them for several years but maybe you could still find them online. They are Thomas Paul and are silk. Hope this helps. :)
ReplyDeleteWould love to know the exact style of the MK wactch you are wearing, do you have a link, or more details?
ReplyDeleteHi Lainey,
ReplyDeleteI was at holt renfrew yesterday, where I purchased the watch, and inquired about it's exact name but no one could tell me anymore. I so sorry. I bought it a few years ago and am not even sure if it's still made.
Wish I could have been of more help.
