Remember the mention of working on my 4th little moth's space [here]? Well, news of friends visiting over the weekend encouraged a push to put the crowning touches on some projects. My little Ethan's room was one of them. I sure hope he likes the finished space created with love just for him.
Inexpensive striped fabric from Ikea dresses up the table tops when placed under a sheet of lucite.

That's my 'hurry up and take the darn picture' face... and on to the next project. Wish me luck! xo

ReplyDeleteOK. I'm in AWE!! How and where are you able to find such perfect pieces and put them together so fabulously. I feel like I search and search and never seem to find the right thing for the right spot. You have an incredible gift and unsurpassed talent. I hope your son enjoys his special space.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!! The benches and custom side tables are nice touches! Love your expression, too!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like out-of-town visitors to speed up the process! :)

The room is amazing. You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteMy warmest thanks to all of you... really. So now to answer a few things:
ReplyDeletethe canvas is from homesense (homegoods in the u.s.) as is the little VW bus and the boxer book ends. The tokyo image is from a calender I bought years ago. The Eames replica office chair is from Costco. (I'm inherently frugal)
Debby... don't tease me! You can come and babysit anytime! But I might just stay home. :)
Dana, thanks! If I lived closer we'd shop together and find you the perfect things!
But again, thanks to all of you for every lovely comment. They really do make my day. xo
Erica, Erica...if this is seriously how you roll, then sign me up. You do not know how to make something not look good. This is a such a great space. Love how your outfit matches;-)

ReplyDeleteI think it is fabulous! I am working on my son's room as well. He is hitting 13 and going to high school. Want to make it over for him! Gorgeous:)
ReplyDeletefantastic! Boys rooms are such a challenge - you've used a common palette but created a really uncommon room - the desk area is wonderful and the bedding -perfection!

ReplyDeleteWhat boy wouldn't dream of having a room like this. You did such an amazing job.
ReplyDeleteIf he doesn't like it, I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, by the way.
Love this room! Where are the side tables from?
ReplyDeleteSo many more lovely comments... thanks everyone!! xo
ReplyDeleteE Lafferty... thanks, the side tables were display units from the store Caban. I bought them when they closed up. :)
Oh, I love this room and I have 2 boys and in the process of re-doing their rooms. Ages 7 and 8. Do you mind me asking where you purchased the bed?
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan.
ReplyDeleteThe bed was purchased at Crate and Barrel and was called the Tattersol I believe. I'm pretty sure it's gone now but they do have a similar model called the Tate. Only difference being button tufting along the back. You may also want to try your luck at West Elm or CB2. Hope this helps. :) Erica
I'm dying to see that wall treatment too! More blogging! :-)
ReplyDeleteTuff to be successful huh?
