I love that they bring in more light and also add architecture to a room. Would love to have a transom window somewhere in my home. My ceilings are only 8ft so it would not work but I am with you on this one, Love Them!! Happy Thursday,Kathysue
That 'something's gotta give' pool shot was the exact image I based the back elevation of my home on. Someone even said, while standing up in my back yard, "you know, this looks like the pool from something's gotta give"! I am addicted to transoms and am already scheming them into my next house. A-M xx
YES, one of my MOST favorite architectural features. If I ever had the chance to build my own home, I would definitely have them all over the house.....they add such amazing light and sense of space. xx P&H
Hi Erica. I live in a 1920's house that has transoms above each interior and exterior door. My windows are huge so I guess the builder/architect decided more glass was not necessary. Transoms are great for providing additional light to a space, always a plus!
Ah, transoms....what I wouldn't give for a house full of these beauties! And that Something's Gotta Give image is one of my all-time favourites, I don't think it will ever go out of fashion. Just gorgeous! K xx
