Oh Hey There

Oh man, it's been forever again. Sometimes it goes like that and if I'm not inspired I'm not posting random stuff to fill feeds. Plus this year has been off the chain busy. I've missed blogging though and the connections with all of you.
So, to bring you up to speed. Since the last posts there's been lots of change. My first born, Connor, left home, moved across the country and left a giant hole in my heart. I didn't think it would hurt so bad, but it did. I am happy for him and know it's just the next step for a twenty year old, but bittersweet. I miss his vibrancy and for any of you who've seen our (his) vine videos, he's absolutely hilarious. I miss him.
Keeping busy, I tackled our lower level. It had flooded with the deluge of spring rain we had. We've rectified the area that the rain came in (fingers crossed) and I proceeded with ripping up the old ruined floors and having them replaced.
Before:
Here it is 3/4s of the way. As you can see I painted the chimney breast black. I'll be posting the finished, styled space soon and hopefully some other good stuff.
I've missed this. Wishing you a lovely weekend. It's good to be back. xo

Good to see your post! Business sometimes swipes the fun from fun. Hope you can post/outlet here some more in the weeks/months to come. Not to worry because in the meantime we've all been watching vine and looking at instagram.
Welcome back. Hey-O! HDW

Good for you. I always think white paint-out on brick but this now has me thinking about black. Don't know what I'll do when my boys leave home...having a project on the go will likely help!

Oh I hear ya with the broken heart. It is hard to let go, and then you realize how time flew raising them and you just want it back. But then the next chapter comes for them and for you, and life gets to be a little different than we are used to after all those years. Love that the fireplace painted black, great choice!
