Match sticks in a vintage, footed, sterling egg cup are the addition of the day. I needed some at the ready to light the gorgeous new candle I picked up in San Fran. As if Friday weren't reason enough to smile!  Hope yours is lovely! xo

I had the best weekend, ever. My dear friend Julie, and I went to San Francisco. We caught an awesome concert, did some sight seeing, some fab shopping and ate a LOT of amazing food.

It also just so happened there was a design blogger meet up that I'd read about at simplified bee too. We were delighted to attend and meet the people behind the blogs. What a fantastic group! Here I am with Cristin (simplified bee) and Mariska (I Used To Be Snow White...) I was so excited to meet them!

 And here with Michelle (Ten June)... my yellow living room carpet twin, and Courtney (Courtney Out Loud). My only wish would have been to spend more time with these awesome, savvy and fun people.

Here we are, Julie, an amazing artist (Julie Butler Art) and I, grinning ear to ear, maybe still in disbelief that we've left the 10 kids we have between us behind for a girlie weekend extraordinaire! 

Here we are at Boulevard. What a fantastic time we had there.

Here's to the best travel partner! Perhaps it should be an annual event Julie?

We all need a little change sometimes, no? Some of my previous posts (like this one here, here and here) prompted a gradual collection of some new accents for my bedroom. The key being they're all pink. Currently pulling them together and can't wait to share. Here's some of my inspiration:

Friday Style Find

Remember the goodie I wanted (here)? I ordered it from the Zhush and couldn't wait for that baby to arrive. When it did, it was wrapped and inside was the loveliest hand written thank you from Sue. Made my day! Here's what I did with my little gem.

Feeling Inspired

Oh how I love to paint. It kinda runs in the family. My Nana is an artist and it seems to have trickled down from her. I rarely find time, but have completed several works since my boys have been home and watching their smallest brother. This image makes me want to dive right in.

I've really needed a little break and today is the day. So far the day has been nothing short of delicious, starting with the best latte...

then a neighbour gave me the loveliest white and crimson peonies...

a little later I'm going to work on pulling together some details like my bar cart...
